On Day 3, we checked out at noon, after veging out in the hotel room again, thanks to the Disney Channel!, and stop by a stretch of beach which we had noticed on the first day, it was straight stretch that’s about 5 km long, quite spectacular. We spent about an hour here, even though it was in the middle of the day. Nana refused to go back, she alone had fun on the beach, Abi came out briefly, while Ari totally refused as you would already know from previous episode. Beach is in a place called Rhu Sepuluh.

Terengganu Trip Update #6
The above was a real shot!
The first thing we did after we managed to get out of the hotel room, that’s 12 noon!, was to visit the Jetty to Pulau Perhentian. It was a quiant little jetty, with a few souvenir shops etc. Driving further on, we came across a lagoon, it looks partly man-made, with a campground besides it.
While getting ready to get out of the car to take in the view (it was spectacular), I notice where the GPS had us at, in the middle of the South China Sea! Maybe where we were was reclaim land, well, it’s certainly one for the record!

Terengganu Trip Update #5
It’s 11:50am, finally everyone is asleep. After a long day, it’s time to reflect a little.
I have always wanted to see the East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia, and here we are, finally here. We stayed at the Merang Suria Resort located at Tanjung Rhu Tapai, off the National Highway No. 1, brochure says 30 minutes to Kuala Terengganu, but we having gone there yet.
After we rested and went to see the beach at 6 something, we reached back to the hotel room and cleaned ourselves, it was already 8:30pm. I think the sun definitely set much later here. Having debated whether we should order in, eat at the coffee house or try to go out and look for a restaurant, we decided to go out.
We managed to find a 24 hour eating place. We ordered sup tulang for the adults and fried rice for the kids. We are always adverse to unclean eating places, we pick this restaurant (Restoran Desa Niaga) because it was packed. We sat near the only table which were Chinese eaters.
Arielle promptly fell asleep, while the other two girls hardly ate their fried rice. We are good sup tulang, ate the kids fried rice, polished off all the barley water—which came with raisins, pretty cool :), and ordered two more cup of carrot juice to down them all. All in all, RM29 bucks. Value for money. The place was clean enough, breezy, had TV running, at first it was local drama—which everyone enjoyed, until someone switched to the local Premier League match between Terengganu and Pahang. Being a local derby, and everyone supporting the home team, I guess we could really ask them to change back to the drama channel, could we now?
All in all, a memorable day. Nana lost her first tooth in the car, then had bad headache she slept for almost two hours, which got me really worried.
Arielle continue to be freaked out about having any sand on her shoes.
This trip was the first trip where the kids picked their own snacks for the journey, picked their own clothes, own shoes, and also help carry their own things to the car. So with this amount of help, we certainly could do more holidays!
More holidays to come hopefully…
In the meantime, a photo of the beach we are staying a couple of days…

Selected Pictures of Day 3 of CH Trip
On the last day, we tried to put in one last strawberry farm adventure at a place called Kasimanis Strawberry Farm. It’s certainly not as flashy as the other two we visited. But it had a great nursery, we bought an orchid plant on a stump, with ready bud, should bloom in about a week. They had great, and I mean great, strawberry ice-blended, that’s why you see three cups. All the flowers you see here are from around the farm. Nana and Abi even got to play with some forget-me-not flowers. Weather was a pleasant 22C.
